Passport Validity: What You Need to Know

Your passport is your most important travel document. Knowing its expiry date well in advance is essential — many countries require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned date of return. An expired or nearly-expiring passport can result in denied boarding, visa refusals, or being turned away at border control.

Always check the specific passport validity requirements for your destination country before booking flights.

Travel Tip: Renew your Indian passport at least 12 months before expiry to avoid last-minute complications with visa applications and travel bookings.
